Description
Dell Alienware Pro Gaming Mechanical Keyboard AW768
As the name suggests it’s a Mechanical Keyboard. Alienware has come with another great computer peripheral to add to your setup. Alienware released this keyboard to rival some of the big names in the market like Logitech. So it does have a lot to live up to. Without further ado, let’s see what features AW768 provides.
Alienware AW768’s Design
AW768 has a design that seriously represents CLASS. It also works wonders when it’s time to get serious in a game.
At first, it might seem like it’s made of metal but in fact, it’s plastic. This also comes in handy and keeps the keyboard lightweight. Plastic doesn’t mean it’s not sturdy and can handle any force.
The lightweight adds to accessibility and usage. The keys are really good and work smoothly. So yeah gamers do not have to worry about anything. Although one thing is a bit suspicious and that is its volume button which at times feels a bit itchy to me. It’s minor in comparison to the overall features.
Features of AW768
Well here’s a simple list of what the features are cause I couldn’t put them in a sentence. I do have my limitations you know.
1. Iconic Alienware design with AlienFX 16.8M RGB 13 zone-based Lighting.
2. Brown mechanical keys.
3. 50million cycle life.
4. 45g actuation force.
5. 60g tactile force, 6. 2mm actuation distance.
7. 4mm total travel distance.
8. Less than 5ms bounce time (during actuation speed of 0.4 m/s).
9. 1000 Hz (1ms) polling rate.
10. Anti-Ghosting and N-key rollover on all keys.
11. 15 programmable macro key functions with on-the-fly recording.
12. All programmable keys.
13. 3 adjustable leg angles.
14. Multimedia keys.
15. Optional Palm Rest (sold separately).
16. 256kB onboard memory.
17. Dedicated volume roller.
18. Braided nylon cable.
What more are you looking for that is seriously 18 features.
Conclusion
Ok, so this is the final verdict. AW768 does have a lot of cool features and design but there are other competitive products that are cheaper and provide the same features. So yep there I said it. If you like the design and can afford to pay for it there’s little chance you would be disappointed. Basically what I wanna say is if you are a gamer it’s a cool product to add to your arsenal but the choice totally depends on you.
